Amy Irvine is a Utah-born writer, public-lands advocate, and teacher whose work focuses on memoir, wilderness, environmental issues, and the American West. Her memoir Trespass: Living at the Edge of the Promised Land won the Orion Book Award and Colorado Book Award; she later wrote Desert Cabal and coauthored Air Mail: Letters of Politics, Pandemics, and Place with Pam Houston. Her essays have appeared in publications including Orion, Outside, High Country News, Lit Hub, and The Best American Science and Nature Writing.
