Walter Hooper (1931–2020) was an American writer, literary editor, and C. S. Lewis scholar. After briefly serving as Lewis’s secretary, he moved to Oxford and devoted his career to preserving and editing Lewis’s writings. He co-authored C. S. Lewis: A Biography and wrote several guides and studies of Lewis, while editing more than 30 volumes, including Lewis’s collected letters and posthumous works.
