David Safier is a German novelist and television writer, born in Bremen in 1966. He began his writing career as a television screenwriter, notably creating the comedy series Berlin, Berlin, which won the Adolf Grimme Award and an International Emmy. He later became a bestselling novelist, known for humorous contemporary fiction, including Mieses Karma, Jesus liebt mich, Happy Family, 28 Days, and the Miss Merkel mystery series.
