Deborah Zalesne is a professor of law at the City University of New York School of Law and an established legal scholar and author. She has coauthored books on contracts and legal pedagogy, published more than 40 scholarly articles on criminal justice, race and gender justice, and legal education, and coauthored Ending Isolation: The Case Against Solitary Confinement with Christopher Blackwell. She also co-founded a writers’ development program supporting incarcerated authors.
