Leah Hazard is an American-born, Scotland-based author and practising NHS midwife. After graduating from Harvard and working in television and journalism, she retrained as a doula and then qualified as a midwife in 2013. Her writing career focuses on midwifery, reproductive health, women’s healthcare and childbirth, including the bestselling memoir Hard Pushed, the popular-science book Womb, and her debut novel The Anatomy of Us.
