Robert M. La Follette Sr. (1855–1925) was a Wisconsin progressive politician, prolific speechmaker, and political writer. He founded La Follette’s Weekly Magazine in 1909, later known as The Progressive, and published La Follette’s Autobiography in 1913. His surviving work includes speeches, articles, political essays, and pamphlets on progressive reform, democracy, labor, civil liberties, and government regulation.
