Dolores Hitchens (1907–1973) was a prolific American mystery and suspense novelist who began publishing in 1938. She wrote under several names, including D. B. Olsen, Noel Burke, and Dolan Birkley, producing cozy mysteries featuring Rachel Murdock, private-eye novels, railroad detective stories co-written with her husband Bert Hitchens, and standalone suspense fiction. Her novel Fool’s Gold was adapted by Jean-Luc Godard into the 1964 film Band of Outsiders.
