Leah Cypess is an American author of young adult and middle-grade fantasy novels, fairy-tale retellings, early chapter books, and speculative short fiction. She sold her first story, "Temple of Stone," while in high school and published her first novel, Mistwood, with Greenwillow Books in 2010 after continuing to write alongside her studies and legal career. Her fiction has appeared in publications including Asimov’s Science Fiction and The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction; she also writes Judaica under the name Leah Sokol.
