Jean-Luc Bannalec is the pseudonym of German author, literary scholar, and former S. Fischer Verlag publisher Jörg Bong. Since 2012, he has written the internationally bestselling Commissaire Dupin crime-mystery series, set in Brittany and featuring a Parisian detective transferred to Concarneau. Bannalec divides his time between Germany and southern Finistère; the series has been translated into numerous languages and adapted for television.
