David W. Anthony is an American archaeologist and anthropologist, emeritus professor of anthropology at Hartwick College. He writes scholarly nonfiction on prehistoric Eurasia, Indo-European language origins, migration, horse domestication, and ancient societies. His best-known book, The Horse, the Wheel, and Language (2007), received the Society for American Archaeology’s Book Award.
