Nancy A. Collins is an award-winning American author of horror, urban fantasy, Southern Gothic, and other speculative fiction. She began publishing novels in 1989 with Sunglasses After Dark, best known for her Sonja Blue vampire series, and has written more than twenty novels, short stories, and graphic novels. She was the first woman to write Swamp Thing for DC Comics and has also written for Vampirella and other licensed properties.
