Yoon Ha Lee is a Korean-American science fiction and fantasy writer whose career began with short fiction published in venues including The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Clarkesworld, and Lightspeed. Lee is best known for the Machineries of Empire space-opera trilogy, beginning with Ninefox Gambit, and also writes middle-grade, young-adult, and standalone fantasy, including Dragon Pearl, Tiger Honor, Moonstorm, and Phoenix Extravagant. Their work has received multiple major award nominations and wins, including Locus Awards.
