Vivian Shaw is a science fiction and fantasy author born in Kenya who relocated to the United States at age seven. She holds a B.A. in art history and an M.F.A. in creative writing and publishing arts. She is best known for the Dr. Greta Helsing contemporary fantasy series—Strange Practice, Dreadful Company, Grave Importance, Bitter Waters, and Strange New World—and has also published the sci-fi/horror novella The Helios Syndrome and short fiction in venues including Uncanny and Pseudopod.
