Francesca Maria is an award-winning horror and dark-fiction author who began writing horror stories at age six. She is best known for the bestselling short-story collection They Hide: Short Stories to Tell in the Dark, and is the creator and co-publisher of the true-horror comic series Black Cat Chronicles. Her fiction and essays have appeared in anthologies including Under the Stairs, Death’s Garden Revisited, Shallow Waters, and To Hell and Back; she also co-chairs the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of the Horror Writers Association.
