Rupert Holmes is a British-American novelist, playwright, and composer who began writing fiction in the 2000s. His debut novel, Where the Truth Lies, was a Booklist Top Ten mystery and was adapted into a film; his second novel, Swing, blended mystery with an original musical score. He later published the New York Times bestselling darkly comic mystery Murder Your Employer, launching the McMasters Guide to Homicide series.
