C. M. Kornbluth (1923–1958) was an American science-fiction writer who began publishing professionally as a teenager and became a member of the influential Futurians. He was especially noted for sharply satirical short stories such as “The Little Black Bag” and “The Marching Morons,” and for novels written with Frederik Pohl, including The Space Merchants and Search the Sky. Kornbluth became a full-time writer in 1951 and also collaborated with Judith Merril under the pseudonym Cyril Judd.
