Josh Malerman is an American novelist and short-story writer best known for his 2014 debut novel Bird Box, which was adapted into a Netflix film. Before publishing, he wrote fourteen unpublished novels and drafted much of his early work while touring as the singer and songwriter of the Detroit rock band The High Strung. He has since published numerous novels, novellas, and short stories, primarily in horror and thriller fiction.
