Alex Hughes is a science-fiction, mystery, and fantasy author best known for the Mindspace Investigations series, including Clean, Payoff, Sharp, Marked, and Vacant. Born in Savannah, Georgia, she became interested in science fiction after reading Anne McCaffrey and later graduated from the Odyssey Writing Workshop. Her short fiction has appeared in several markets, and Clean was a finalist for the 2013 Silver Falchion Award.
