Gillian Flynn is an American author and former Entertainment Weekly critic whose writing career centers on dark, psychologically driven suspense fiction. She is best known for the novels Sharp Objects, Dark Places, and Gone Girl, for which she wrote the Golden Globe-nominated film screenplay. She also wrote the Edgar Award-winning novella The Grownup and has adapted her work for film and television.
